Briefly describe your background/experience in your field of work. I have a degree in Land Management – recreation. My real experience for the job I do comes from working and serving the residents of St. Louis Park and the visitors who use our nature center.
Q: What is your favorite animal? My favorite animal? I don’t really have a favorite, I like many, but I will just pick one and I’ll say an eagle.
Q: What are your interests and hobbies? Wow, there are many of these too! Music, singing, hiking, theater, bike riding, working out, jogging, camping, going to the cabin, fishing, x country skiing, travel, reading by the beach or pool, Sports, BBQ’s and just hanging around with friends and family!
Q: How has nature impacted your life? I grew up with a big marsh, wooded area and Minnehaha creek for my playground. I learned to explore the beauty of a tiny plant and the creatures that live in and around the creek and marsh area. I could use my imagination and build my own areas out of the things I found in nature. Also, I spent a lot of time at the cabin fishing, canoeing, boating and hanging out in and by the lake.
Q: What is your favorite activity or program at Westwood? Maple Syruping OR the Honey Harvest.
Q. What is your favorite place at Westwood? I have two. The four way intersection where the memorial benches are for my mom and dad, and also the new pond area in front of the building.
